Damion's death: how it was done

In order to make Damion's death look as realistic as possible, we researched videos on how to fake hang a character in a film, which I mentioned in an earlier post. We filmed Dale folding a blanket, rolling it together and then fastening it over a bar on the ceiling. As we  wanted to make the scene as safe as possible, a member of our group held the blanket so it looked like it was fastened to the bar, as we decided it was the safest option. After this Dale stood on a chair and we filmed him making it fall over, making it look like he walked off it when we finally cut it together. Then Dale sat on a chair and moved his legs as though they were dangling, this gave the effect of a hanging. It made our film creepy and realistic, scaring the audience as it's quite an unnerving scene to watch.

This idea came from the film Shaw shank Redemption during Brooks suicide.

The feet dangling, being a memorable scene for the audience which is what we hoped to do.
