For our final film we used makeup and fake blood to create a bruise/cut on Hayley's face, to make the injury look realistic. We also did this for her arm, when Dale (Damion) grabbed her arm, the camera got a shot of the mark he left, this being symbolism that she's in his memory. We didn't want there to be too much of a marking or a very long zoom on the cuts as it would make the movie more gory and this would generally be seen in a horror rather than a psychological thriller. Therefore we didn't want to confuse our audience.
A film that has similar makeup to ours would be The Call-
The simplicity of the cut giving a huge impact.
