Viral Adverts

Viral advertising is where adverts are made could be electronicly where they are put up on the internet on webpages or on videos etc. This saves money as you don't have to mass produce the advert, you would only have to make one that can then be put anywhere. Also, as the internet is used by a lot of the population it is easy for anyone to see the adverts. Or could be in the real world, where people would be able to see in physical form.

Top 10 films that had great viral marketing

Here is an example of a viral advert for the film 'District 9'. It is a poster at a bus stop. This advert has comedic elements to it and may make people then want to watch the film.

Here is a viral add for the film 'Prometheus'.
All of these viral adverts are created to promote certain products either by attracting new people or making the current audience watch the films again.
