Film certificate change

Our film certificate was originally a 12A however after our audience questionnaire, we found that the majority of people felt our film was more of a 15. So we researched into the BBFC's rules of a certificate 15 as films that are meant for 15 shouldn't be shown to anyone under this age in the cinema or without parental guardians which means our film was at risk of being put under the wrong certificate.

The BBFC said

What might I see in a 15 rated film or video?

Any of the following:
  •   strong violence
  •  frequent strong language (e.g. 'f***').
  •   portrayals of sexual activity
  •   strong verbal references to sex
  •   sexual nudity
  •   brief scenes of sexual violence or verbal references to sexual violence
  •   discriminatory language or behaviour
  •   drug taking

As our film contains strong violence in the suicide scene and beating Lily to death as well as some frequent strong language when Damion realises what he's done, we felt we should change the film certficate to a 15.
