The first thing that struck me about this film was how similar the lighting was to ours. This film's lighting could influence our film, ours will have dark gloomy lighting like this, to create foreshadow the grey area that mental illness is. The lighting also creates the dark mysterious tone of the film, which we also hope to replicate.
Another similarity between INSiDE and our film is that they both have male lead characters. The beginnings of both our film and this one are very similar as our film starts off with Damian in a dark-ish room on his own, the same happens in INSiDE, the male lead is sat in a cushioned room on his own.
The Narrative themes in both our film and INSiDE are based around mental illness as well, INSiDE however solely focuses on the lead characters illness, whereas our film focuses on the mystery of Damian's estranged wife and why he has been placed in a mental asylum.
