Genre survey

I created a survey and asked various people what they liked about a genre and why.

The first question I asked was Do you like horror films with props such as blood and why?

The reasons why were given as followed... yes because It's intriguing, more gory, keeps you on the edge of you seat and no because you know what's going to happen eg- someone getting killed.

The second question was Do you like psychological films and why?

The reasons why were given as followed... Yes because it makes you jump, the twist at the end and the suspense and no because it gets confusing.

The third question I asked was What do you like about thrillers? The responses I received were, they make you think more, they keep the audience hooked, they're full of suspense, the story line's always good and they scare you.

The fourth question I asked was What do you expect to be in a drama film? The responses were, fast shots, action, suspense, the characters are like everyday people, it's a realistic story and it has real problems.

I collected this information from an age group between 13-50 which allows me to believe that our film would have a target audience of anyone above 13 because of the feedback.
