Influences on our film

Influences on our film have been from various genres such as horror, psychological, thriller and drama. Influences from the genre horror have been using blood as a prop for when the wife is beaten and the main character kills himself as it's used in most horror movies and the audience always seems to love it.

Scream Blood used in this movie as a prop to intrigue the audience and this film has a 4/5 rating so the prop must have paid off.


Psychological films have influenced our film as the whole idea of keeping the audience in a sense of mystery is appealing as they won't know what to expect and it would be difficult to work out.

Thriller movies keep the audience on the edge of their seat, we used various techniques from thriller movies to inspire our film such as the edgy music to haunt the audience and make them scared.

The genre drama influenced us as the whole plot is very dramatic as it concerns a vast problem between a couple and the script adds to this as the conversation they share is what you'd usually hear in a drama film/series.

We had further influences from certain films like shutter island which I've mentioned in an earlier post as the plot is similar to ours due to the main character being similar.
