We decided to call our main character Damion.

The American meaning of the name Damion is: Tame. This is very ironic to our film as the character goes against everything the word tame represents.

I've found that if a film is good, it represents a deeper meaning to the audience. This can make aspects of a movie noticeable if the audience didn't see them before such as a characters name having a more in depth meaning.

This can be seen in other films such as Hunger Games as Katniss is a plant translated from Latin as 'archer' meaning her role in the film is very accurate...

Whereas Lily is a name that means a flower and purity. This translates in our film due to her kind nature being taken for granted by Damion who kills her.
